Journey to Baby Finter

Hi! We're Tim and Erin Finter, we have been married since November of 2015 and have 2 fur babies that we love spending time with but we are ready to add a little love to our family. We have been trying to conceive naturally for about 7 years and have undergone countless tests and tried everything imaginable to start our family naturally which unfortunately only resulted in chemical pregnancies and heartbreak. Finally, in September of 2023, we began our infertility journey with Dr. Osman at RMANJ. We were diagnosed with both female and male factor infertility and told what we'd suspected all along, we likely would never get pregnant naturally.  Some of this stems from Erin's medical diagnoses, as someone who is classified as chronically ill, she was diagnosed with Polycystic Ovarian Syndrome (PCOS) when she was 16, and more recently diagnosed with Hypermobile Ehlers Danlos, in 2013, Fibromyalgia (as a result of the covid vaccines) in 2022 and Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS, as a result of COVID-19) in 2023. By the grace of God, she is as healthy as someone with chronic illnesses can be and has been medically cleared to pursue our dreams of starting our family. We have successfully completed many of the hurdles in the journey, semen preservation, a failed saline sonogram, and most recently a Diagnostic Hysteroscopy where they removed polyps, and adhesions from Erin's uterus to ensure that it was ready for an embryo when the time comes.  The next steps are a medicated cycle and egg retrieval which we hope to begin in the coming month or so which will lead to cryopreserving the surviving embryos until transfer.
