The Roger�s Family Fertility Journey

Hello! We are Devon and Joel Rogers, and this is our fertility journey. We were married July of 2021 and started trying for a family right away. I knew that with my PCOS, we would have a harder time getting pregnant, so pretty quickly after marriage we decided to pursue additional testing concerning fertility. After all of the tests, we got news in October 2022 that having a baby on our own was going to be very difficult. We were encouraged to pursue IVF and skip IUI. After much prayer, we felt confirmation to go ahead with the IVF process. I underwent an egg retrieval in February of 2023, followed by the transfer of our first beautiful embryo on April 10th. We were heartbroken when this transfer resulted in a loss, and we had to prepare for another transfer for a second chance. June was the time, but my body didn’t respond like it should have to the medication, resulting in our transfer being pushed back until August where we transferred 2 beautiful embryos. By the grace of God, one of our 2 beautiful babies stuck this time and I am currently 10 weeks pregnant with our miracle. The Lord has been so good to us throughout this whole journey and we are so thankful to be pregnant with our first baby. However, as many know, IVF is a very costly process and we unfortunately have not had any insurance coverage besides for medication (which was a huge blessing). We have had many people ask how to help, so we decided to pursue a puzzle piece fundraiser. For every donation, we will write your name on a puzzle piece. This puzzle will be a beautiful reminder of the village that it took to get us to Baby Rogers and will hang where we will never forget the story that brought us here.
