Steps to our Miracle: Journey to Baby Gumbs

We are Gabriel and Crystal, and we met during one of the toughest times in recent history—COVID-19. Both of us were frustrated with the dating scene and ready to give up on finding our other half. But we felt a divine connection in our meeting, and we quickly knew we had found true love. We married in March 2022 and were eager to start our family. We began trying to conceive in September 2022, and two years later, we are still yearning for that positive result. In March 2023, we received devastating news: Crystal learned that she has a T-shaped uterus and a blocked left fallopian tube, along with age-related factors that complicate our chances of conceiving. While we anticipated challenges due to our timing, this diagnosis felt like an insurmountable obstacle. Our journey with the Fertility Center in Grand Rapids was fraught with difficulties, including frustrating communication issues that nearly pushed us to abandon treatment altogether. After switching doctors, we found some improvement, but uncertainty still loomed. We tried medications to increase egg count and quality without success, and after much consideration, we opted for IUI, undergoing the procedure four times. Each time brought significant discomfort and, sadly, no pregnancy. Even attempts to incorporate acupuncture for better implantation did not yield results. With Crystal turning 40 this August, we are concerned that our chances of becoming parents are slipping away. Crystal has always dreamed of being a mom, and Gabriel would be a wonderful, loving dad. We have so much love to give and desperately wish to bless our family with a child of our own. To date, we've invested thousands of our savings into this journey without success. We would love the opportunity to try IVF, which offers the best odds of conceiving a child. Encouraged by friends and family, we are humbly asking for your financial support to pursue this option.
