Single Mother by Choice - Jelisa�s Story

Hello!! My name is Jelisa! I am 31 years of age! I am on the journey to become a mother. I’m choosing the route of IVF! At a young age, I was pregnant with a lovely little boy. Due to circumstances and things beyond my control, I delivered my son stillborn. About 5 years ago, I tried to conceive a baby with no luck. I have spent the last 4 years single and working on myself. Three years ago I began thinking about becoming a single mother by choice. This decision was not made lightly and without many tears and fears. Last year I made the final decision that I do want to be a mother. I have an amazing support team and a great village to bring a baby into. Yes I am an aunty and a God Mom, but I really want a baby of my own. With that being said, this journey will not be cheap. Between cost of treatment, meds, a donor, travel, as well as many other fees, i am looking at quite a hefty bill. It is not anyone’s responsibility but my own, as this is my choice, however, I do appreciate any help I get along the way!
