Road to Baby Gallagher

Hi everyone! As some of you may already know, my sister, Erin and her husband Rich, have been experiencing infertility since 2020. Infertility can be traumatic, heartbreaking, brutal, and utterly unrelenting. Over the past 2.5 years they have been undergoing IVF treatments. Unfortunately, they are what those in the infertility community call, “long haulers” and have been met with many complexities and failed rounds. They are continuously undergoing numerous procedures, surgeries, tests, and treatments. This has also been a very costly time for them and so, I have decided to set up this fund in hopes to help them financially as they continue through it. Erin and Rich are soon to undergo their 6th IVF cycle. They previously have had 5 retrievals and one failed transfer. Sadly, insurance does not cover all aspects of their care and even after needing to switch to the others insurance after last year, they are about to reach their lifetime maximum for a second time. Choosing to contribute to Erin and Rich’s fund will go towards out of pocket costs; including medications, infusions, additional lab testing and possibly more procedures. I have chosen to use this platform on behalf of Erin and Rich because this site incentivizes to have more donors to allow a better chance for the couple to be entered into drawings to win monetary grants in addition to the amounts raised. Thank you!   Update from Erin and Rich: Dear family, friends, friends of friends, and those we don’t know personally: On behalf of Rich and myself we cannot say thank you enough for the kindness, support, and generosity we have received over the last week with the fundraiser that my sister has set up for us. We are taken back by your generosity. The last few years have been total hell and infertility unfortunately is something that is very lonely. When we started being more open with our journey it was very scary, but has been the best thing for our mental and emotional health as we have been reminded that we are certainly not alone. Whether you have donated, shared, sent words of encouragement or have prayed for us, it is something that we will forever be grateful and thankful for. Sometimes when you are going through hard times, it’s easy to forget all that you are blessed with. What a beautiful reminder of how blessed we truly are. Every night we pray the miraculous medal novena and we believe it has played a major role in our journey and will continue to do so. We will be adding you all in our special intentions during this novena and will continue to pray for you, as I ask you to pray for us as well.
