Our IVF Journey- The Patton-Brown�s

Hi! We’re Morgan and Jordan Patton-Brown. Growing a family is something we have prayed and hoped for over the past year. At the recommendation of our OBGYN, we started exploring fertility treatments and deciding which options would be best for us. As an LGBTQ+ couple, we have had to consider the costs of donor sperm, methods of insemination, and the effectiveness of each treatment type. Though overwhelming at times, these considerations have prepared us for the steps ahead and provided us with an outline of what’s to come. Without insurance to cover treatments, one round of IVF can cost anywhere from $20,000-$30,000. Though we both work full-time, neither of our insurances provide the coverage for these treatments. This creates a financial hurdle that can become difficult to save for.
