Baby Duncan - Our Story

My name is Nicole and my husband Phillip and I have been on this fertility journey for the last 4 years with two pregnancies that ended in miscarriages, 3 rounds of IUI that was unsuccessful as well as 2 rounds of IVF that unfortunately were not successful. We are thankful to have two amazing pups as our fur babies and can't wait to be parents to a beautiful baby/babies one day. We started our IVF journey earlier this year (2024) and boy has it been a whirlwind. Between medication and cycles I never realized how expensive IVF was until you are actually in it. We would love to be able to do more rounds of IVF but would need help from our family and friends to make this happen. We got married in 2020 and have been exploring life together and want to be parents more than anything to complete are family. I celebrate life every day because 9 years ago I was diagnosed with thyroid cancer. I had a total thyroidectomy in 2015 which changed my life forever. It's still taking me years to get comfortable with the side effects of not having a thyroid and all that comes with it, but I am thankful and grateful every day I am now cancer free. It has been a rough go since 2015 but finding purpose in life and wanting to be a mother one day with my husband who is an amazing man and will be an amazing father, is our dream.
