Melissa & Ryan�s IVF Journey

My name is Melissa Kitchin, and my husband Ryan and I have been trying to start our little family since we got married in August of 2022. Since then we have undergone series of tests for both of us, resulting in plenty of hospital trips both local and out of town. The conclusion was that we have a very slim chance of having children on our own, though not completely impossible, it is highly unlikely. We are battling both unexplained infertility as well as a uterine abnormality which will result in higher risk pregnancies for me. Despite these results, we both know we want a family and that we will be great parents so we started our journey with IVF in March. We’re fortunate enough that insurance does help, but there’s plenty that isn’t covered including hospital bills, lab bills, medications, etc. so we took a suggestion to start GiftOfParenthood. Anything helps and we are so so grateful for the love and support from everyone! 🩷
