Hello! We are Caroline and Zack Pyron! We want to share our story in hopes that you might help us make our dreams come true. We met in 2019 and got married in December of 2020. I am a 7th Grade English teacher while also working on a masters degree in Instructional Design. My husband is a veteran with 8 years in the Army and two tours of duty during that time. After leaving the Army, he decided to go back to school and is currently finishing a degree in Cybersecurity. We have been trying to start a family but have run into fertility problems both in myself and Zack. We found out in April 2022 that I have a low egg reserve. We were told we have 1 year to do IVF or I most likely won't have enough eggs left to have a biological child. I also have a genetic bone disorder called X-Linked Hypophosphatemia. I have had many surgeries to correct bowing in my legs. This disorder has a 50% chance of passing on to a child and with IVF we can select an embryo that does not have XLH. While we are not doing IVF solely because of my XLH, we are taking the opportunity to test the embryos. I am no stranger to medical problems but never did I expect to struggle with fertility. We have also recently learned that Zack will need to undergo some procedures. Every step Zack and I have taken has revealed another problem. This has been a rollercoaster of emotions. We are approaching our deadline to try IVF, so we are hoping you might be willing to help us have a child. Nothing in this life is a guarantee, but Zack and I want to try everything we can to have a child of our own.
We have a puzzle and are "selling" each puzzle piece for $25. You can choose to buy 1, 2, 5, or 10! However many you want!
Once you purchase a piece, we will write your name(s) on the back of the puzzle piece(s). If you purchase 5 or more pieces, we would love for you to leave a note which will be written on those pieces along with your name(s). This puzzle will be framed and hung in the nursery so we can always remember the people that helped us build our family. In addition, any pieces sold for $100 and over will receive a "It Takes a Village to Build a Family" t-shirt.
Once every single piece has been "sold", we will put the puzzle together and reveal the picture we chose. It will hang in our home as a physical reminder of the blessing we have been given. Not only will it serve as a reminder but we will also be able to share it with our future child. To be able to show them how wanted, loved, and prayed for they were.
Our goal with this fundraiser is raise a total of $20,000. This will cover the cost of testing, medications, Zack's procedures and more! What a blessing that would be! We would be honored and humbled to have you as a part of our story.
