Hi, I’m Renisha. For over 22 years, I’ve poured my heart into cooking—creating meals that bring people together. But there’s one dream that’s always been even closer to my heart: becoming a mother. My journey to parenthood has been filled with more heartbreak than I ever imagined. For years, I suffered through unbearable pain and heavy bleeding, not knowing why my body kept betraying me. After four devastating pregnancy losses, I finally got answers in 2019: adenomyosis, a condition I’d never heard of and is only curable with a hysterectomy. Since then, I’ve endured three surgeries and a grueling, failed ICSI cycle—one that drained my entire life savings in a single attempt. I’ve spent days curled up in recovery, crying through the physical and emotional pain, and nights wondering if I’d ever get another chance. At 40, after five losses, the odds feel stacked against me. But my hope hasn’t faded. I’ve made the brave decision to pursue motherhood on my own because I know, without a doubt, that I have so much love to give. This grant would be my last real shot—one final chance to finally hold the baby I’ve dreamed of my whole life.
