Hello! I’m Katie and my husband is Bennett. We’ve been married since December 2017. My husband is active duty military and we have one child. Carson was born in 2019 at Fort Campbell, KY.
In January 2021 we moved to Fort Cavazos, TX and in November 2021 I had an ectopic pregnancy that required emergency surgery and I lost my right fallopian tube. The chance for recurrent ectopic pregnancy after your first one is about 10-27% In May of 2022 I had an early miscarriage around 4weeks 3days. June 2022 I had my second ectopic pregnancy and thankfully it was caught early enough and I was able to keep my left tube. After 3 pregnancy losses we decided to have testing done starting with an HSG test to check for tubal blockages and my left tube was clear of blockages.
In May 2023 we moved from Texas to Fort Jackson, Columbia, South Carolina, shortly after I started being seen at a local fertility clinic. In January 2024 we found out I was pregnant naturally, around 6weeks I had an ultrasound and we saw a gestational sac, we scheduled another ultrasound for 9weeks. At 9weeks there was still no baby and the gestational sac was still measuring at 6weeks. I was diagnosed with a blighted ovum, missed miscarriage and scheduled a D&C surgery. May 2024 I had more surgery to remove scar tissue from my uterus and a laparoscopy to remove endometriosis. My left tube was checked during this surgery and is blocked because of scar tissue and endometriosis.
IVF is our only option to have another child. Any donation will get us one step closer to achieving this!
