Mark and TahLee Young My name is TahLee and I am 42 years old. I got married, for the first time 1.5 years ago, to my amazing husband Mark in October 2021. My husband has children (now adults) from a previous marriage. I have no children. During what you would call my “fruitful” years, I unexpectedly lost (my then) significant other as he was deported from the U.S…I had no idea. I kind of felt like I lost time that I could not get back. I am a firm believer in God’s plan for our lives though, so I moved on, changed my career, went to graduate school and ultimately found my forever person. My husband and I started trying to conceive immediately following our nuptials. After one year, I finally got pregnant after I was told that I will likely require fertility treatment due to my age and quantity of eggs! I was so happy and felt really blessed to have been able to conceive naturally despite the odds. AND THEN…I went to get an ultrasound and was told there was a slow heartbeat…then no heartbeat! You have no idea how devastated I was, after one year of trying. We’ve been trying ever since and nothing. I am finally accepting that, fertility treatment may be the most promising route at this time, but we could use some help to raise $20,000. My doctor believes it may take two rounds of IVF for me. Please find it in your hearts to make this delayed dream, a reality!
