My name is Erica, and my greatest dream is to become a mother. I’m 24 years old and live in Detroit, and like so many others, I always imagined starting a family would come naturally. But at 22, I was diagnosed with PCOS after years of struggling in silence. The news was difficult, but I was determined to heal and prepare my body for pregnancy. Last year, my fiancé and I learned that PCOS would make conceiving much harder than we ever expected. We began working with a fertility clinic, hopeful and full of love. So far, we’ve gone through 10 cycles of trying—including two rounds of IUI—only to be told that IVF is now our only option. It’s been an emotional rollercoaster, filled with hope, heartbreak, and resilience. While we’re grateful to have some insurance coverage, the out-of-pocket costs for IVF are still overwhelming. We’re facing nearly $15,000 in expenses for medications, procedures, and appointments—a sum that feels impossible on our own. We’re reaching out with humble hearts, asking for your support to help make our dream of parenthood a reality.
