Gift of Being a Parent

My name is Katie and my husband is Troy. For those who opened this and read our story, thank you. It is with both Hope and vulnerability that we share a significant chapter of our lives with you. Troy and I have been trying for over a year to conceive. During this time, I have done 6 rounds of Clomid and 2 rounds Femua, 4 rounds of injections with TI. As of today we still have not conceived. We saw an Infertility Doctor earlier this year who ran some tests to figure out why we’ve been unable to conceive. Everything came back normal except my egg quality. My eggs do not mature enough to conceive. Doctor said I need to take injections to mature my eggs. As of today June 24th, 2024, we are going to the next level, IUI (Intrauterine Insemination)! IUI consists of 6-7 injections to mature my egg, a trigger shot to release the mature egg and insemination. Unfortunately, our insurance does not cover these injections or the procedure. The amount out of pocket is $518 for injections and the procedure is $520. So today, we are asking for help and support. Our parents have always said it takes a village to raise a child and we know we have we have the best village around us. That’s why with humble hearts, we are reaching out to ask for your help. There is no easy way to say we would not be able to do this journey alone.
