IVF Journey To Baby Gill

Hii! My name is Kayla and my husband’s name is Bobby! We would like to share our story with you! The precious gift of parenthood might come easy for some. However, 1 in 8 struggle with infertility. We are 1 in 8. Bobby and I have been trying to concieve for almost three years now. Our journey so far has included many many medicated cycles and all of the standard diagnostic fertility tests: ultrasounds, bloodwork, HSG, SIS and semen  analysis. Through all these test, I was diagnosed with PCOS. In May of 2023 we did get pregnant. We thought this was our miracle! Unfortunately it was an ectopic pregnancy that ended up rupturing. I was rushed to the hospital and taken in for emergency surgery to remove the pregnancy. They ended up having to remove my entire right fallopian tube. The complications of this pregnancy were extremely unexpected as well as the hefty medical bills that came along with everything. Now, a year after the ectopic pregnancy, we still have not been successful. With having PCOS and now only one functioning fallopian tube, our team of doctors say the odds are not in our favor to conceive naturally. IVF is going to be our best and most effective option. Due to IVF not being “medically necessary” it is not covered by our insurance. This is an expense we never expected when we decided we were ready to start a family of our own! We have remained hopefully and positive despite all the challenges we have faced throughout this journey. We are starting this fundraiser to help make our dreams of becoming parents true!
